World Blood Donor Day is commemorated every year on June 14 as a tribute to blood donors who give their blood voluntarily without expecting any compensation. This date was chosen to commemorate the birth of Karl Landsteiner, the scientist who discovered the ABO blood group system, which laid the foundation for modern blood transfusion (Landsteiner, 1901, as cited in Wazed, 2024).
In celebration of World Blood Donor Day, MUTUAL+ collaborated with PMI Sukabumi to hold a blood donation event on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the MUTUAL+ Head Office in Jakarta. This activity reflects the company’s commitment to social responsibility, particularly in helping to maintain a safe and sufficient blood supply for those in need. Through the active participation of employees and members of the surrounding community, a total of 105 bags of blood were collected, which are expected to bring real benefits to the wider public.
